Canadian Multifaith Federation, CMF (formerly the Ontario Multifaith Council) is an organization whose main objective is to advocate on behalf of faith, spiritual beliefs and religious communities on matters of mutual interest and consensus.
We fully agree with MCP-Muslim Council of Peel Statement on the concerns and support their stand about the recent rise of hate motivated incidents in Ontario and particularly Peel Region.
We condemn any harmful act against any community on the basis of faith, beliefs, practices or race. We call on all people of faith to appeal in their prayers for divine wisdom and guidance to eradicate hate and religious intolerance amongst our midst. We stand together in solidarity as diverse faith leaders and expect that our law enforcement will bring those responsible for inciting or promoting hate to justice promptly.
